Drought-resistant citrus seedlings show improved photosynthesis and root growth abilities.
Drought affects citrus growth. Two citrus types were studied to see how they respond to drought. Drought reduced photosynthesis in both types, but one type was less affected. After watering, photosynthesis improved but didn't fully recover. One type had better water use efficiency and light use under drought. Drought increased root tip number and lateral root length in one type, helping it absorb water better.
