Rail transportation efficiency in Asian countries was evaluated using a method called Data Envelopment Analysis. This method ranks Decision Making Units based on their performance using multiple inputs and outputs. The study focused on rail freight and passenger transportation in 2016, using data from the International Union of Railways. The goal was to measure how well these transportation systems were operating in terms of efficiency.
