Human disturbances can reduce plant species diversity and stability in Moso bamboo forests. A study in Southern China found that areas with more human activity had fewer plant species. The richness and diversity of plants decreased as disturbance levels increased. The communities in heavily disturbed areas showed more species replacement. This research helps guide sustainable management of bamboo forests.
