New Stormwater Management Solution Prevents Flash Floods in Malaysia Campus
Stormwater management techniques were studied for a university campus in Semenyih, Malaysia to prevent flooding. A wet detention pond was proposed as a solution to control water quantity and quality. The pond can store up to 18,579 m3 of water and handle flood surges, reducing peak discharge rates. This solution is effective for handling storm events with a 100-year average recurrence interval.
