The goal of the study was to develop recognition models for Thai dancing activities, as existing techniques were not effective for this cultural form. The researchers compared the performance of two models, 3D CNN and LSTM, using a new data set collected from 16 volunteers. The LSTM model achieved higher accuracy (0.1250) compared to the 3D CNN model (0.0800), showing that it was more successful in recognizing Thai dancing movements.
