Probiotics boost giant prawn growth and survival rates in aquaculture
The study tested different doses of a probiotic called RABAL on the growth and survival of giant prawn larvae. They found that the highest dose of 225 ppm resulted in the best growth, with larvae gaining weight and length, and having a high survival rate. The probiotic also improved the feed conversion ratio, meaning the larvae were able to efficiently convert their food into growth. Overall, the research showed that using RABAL at the right dose can significantly benefit the growth and health of giant prawn larvae.
