Kriging techniques were compared to estimate soil layer distribution in Songdo International City. Different kriging methods gave varying estimates of consolidation layer thickness. Simple kriging overestimated thickness far from measured data, while universal kriging gave negative values in some locations. Ordinary kriging was found to be the most reliable method, providing estimates within a reasonable range.
