Northeast China faces rapid warming and decreasing precipitation over past 50 years.
Climate change in Northeast China has been studied using data from 103 stations. Over the past 50 years, the region has experienced a significant increase in average temperature, with winters and springs warming the most. Precipitation has slightly decreased overall, with some areas experiencing a significant drop. Sunshine duration, evaporation, wind speed, and relative humidity have also decreased since 1956. The climate parameters showed abrupt changes at different points in time, with temperature changes occurring in 1988 and precipitation changes in 1961, 1994, and 1978.
