Optimizing Cotton Planting Schedule Boosts Crop Yield and Quality.
A study looked at how different planting schedules and cotton varieties affect the growth and yield of cotton crops. They planted three cotton varieties on three different dates in the field. The results showed that planting cotton on April 20th led to the best growth and highest yield, while planting on May 30th resulted in the lowest yield. The cotton variety Sindh-1 performed the best overall, followed by NIAB-78, and Star-2 had the lowest performance. The combination of planting on April 20th with the Sindh-1 variety gave the highest cotton yield. This study suggests that planting cotton early and choosing the right variety can help maximize cotton crop yield.
