The study looked at how different amounts of water and phosphorus affected wheat growth. They found that more irrigation increased water use but decreased efficiency. Adding phosphorus improved soil water use and grain yield. The best results were seen with 120mm of irrigation and 90kg/hm2 of phosphorus. Over-irrigation led to more water use but lower efficiency.
