New technique extracts flavonoids from seabuckthorn residue with optimal conditions.
Flavonoids were extracted from seabuckthorn residue using cellulase to help. The researchers optimized the extraction process by testing different factors like cellulase amount, solution ratio, temperature, and pH. They found the best conditions for extracting flavonoids were using 78.9 IU/g of cellulase, a solution to material ratio of 25.9, a temperature of 59.1℃, and a pH of 3.9. Under these conditions, they were able to extract 8.48mg of flavonoids per gram of material, which was very close to their predicted value of 8.57mg/g. This model can accurately predict how much flavonoids can be extracted using these optimized conditions.
