Growing up with siblings boosts young children's kindness and empathy.
Growing up with siblings can positively impact young children's prosocial behaviors, according to a study in South Korea. The study compared 340 preschool children with and without siblings, finding that having siblings was linked to better prosocial skills. Factors like birth order and sibling gender didn't affect this. However, the influence of having siblings on prosocial behaviors decreased as children grew older. Other factors may also play a role in this relationship.
