Boosting Maize Yield and Protein Content with Integrated Nutrient Management
A study was done to see how different nutrient management methods affect the quality protein maize crop. They tested different levels of enriched farmyard manure (FYM) with fertilizers and biofertilizers on maize plants. The results showed that using FYM enriched with 150% RDF led to higher grain and stover yields, harvest index, and protein content in the grain. Also, seed inoculation with Azotobacter + PSB culture increased grain yield, stover yield, harvest index, and protein content in the grain. This means that combining enriched FYM with fertilizers and using specific biofertilizers can improve the quality and yield of protein maize crops.
