Declining vegetation trend in Guizhou Province linked to rising spring temperatures.
The researchers studied how the vegetation in Guizhou Province changed from 1987 to 2003 in relation to temperature and rainfall. They found that the overall vegetation decreased over the years, mainly due to a drop in winter. Spring saw a slight increase in vegetation. The study showed that temperature in spring had a significant impact on vegetation growth, more so than rainfall. Both temperature and rainfall were linked to vegetation growth, but temperature had a stronger influence.
