A new method was developed to turn trash and plant materials into a useful fuel called RDF. By separating out different parts of the trash, researchers found that most of it is made up of organic matter. The heating value of these waste materials is high, especially the plastic part. Mixing municipal waste with plant leftovers can help solve waste problems in cities and rural areas.
