Revolutionizing biodiesel production: Waste animal fat oil extraction breakthrough!
Researchers extracted animal fat oil from waste animal fat to increase oil yield and separate protein residue easily. They used high-temperature melting and frying methods to extract oil and remove moisture. The temperature of 110-140°C resulted in over 65% oil extraction yield, with protein residue decreasing at higher temperatures. The optimal temperature for energy efficiency was found to be 120°C. Continuous frying after high-temperature extraction transformed protein residue into easily separable particles. The main fatty acids in animal fat oil were identified, with significant variations in saturated and unsaturated fatty acids. Increasing oleic acid and reducing saturated fatty acids could improve the quality of biodiesel fuel. The extracted animal fat oil had specific acidity, low moisture content, and moderate oxidative stability.
