Russian Agricultural Lands Facing Severe Degradation and Desertification Crisis
Agricultural lands in Russia are being damaged by erosion and desertification due to poor farming practices and harsh weather conditions. About 65% of arable land is affected by erosion, leading to significant loss of fertility. To combat this, a new approach called anti-degradation arrangement is being proposed, which involves using advanced technology like precision farming to monitor and improve agricultural landscapes. By analyzing data and implementing modern techniques, it is possible to reduce costs and optimize production, ultimately helping to protect the environment and improve agricultural sustainability.
