The article estimates tidal current energy in three straits near Bali and Lombok islands using a computer model. They used data from two sources to improve accuracy and validated their results with tide gauge data. The model predicted tidal currents with good agreement to previous data, showing speeds up to 3.8 m/s. This could result in tidal current power exceeding 10.98 kW/m2 with a turbine efficiency of 0.39.
