The article presents a new method for dividing images into different parts, called image segmentation. The researchers combined two existing algorithms, Otsu and Adaptive Region Growing, to automatically find the best way to separate the image. By doing this, they were able to reduce mistakes in the segmentation process. The results of their experiments showed that this new method is very good at ignoring unwanted details in the image and accurately separating the different parts.
