Cow dung and green waste combo creates supercharged fertilizer powerhouse!
Green waste mixed with cow dung and processed by earthworms can create high-quality compost. By combining composting and vermicomposting, researchers found that adding cow dung to green waste significantly improved the nutrient content and growth of plants. The addition of cow dung also increased the rate of decomposition of organic matter and boosted the population of beneficial microbes in the final compost product. Treatments with 8% and 10% cow dung showed the best results, enhancing the efficiency and quality of the compost. This method could be a useful way to manage cow dung and green waste while producing nutrient-rich compost for plant growth.
