A new method for estimating population variance was developed by modifying existing estimators. The new estimators were found to be more efficient than previous ones, as shown by numerical examples. The approach used involved transforming previous estimators and calculating mean square errors to compare efficiency. The results indicate that the proposed estimators are better at estimating population variance than current methods.
