Fertilization boosts Eucalyptus growth and carbon storage in South Sumatera.
Fertilization was studied to see how it affects the growth of Eucalyptus pellita trees in South Sumatera. Different amounts of fertilizer were given to the trees, and their growth was measured after six months. The study found that the amount of fertilizer didn't affect the survival rate or leaf size, but it did impact the height, diameter, crown area, biomass, and carbon storage of the trees. The trees grew tallest and widest with 167 kg/ha of fertilizer, but had the most biomass and carbon storage with 133 kg/ha. Overall, the study showed that fertilization can help Eucalyptus pellita trees grow better in their early stages.
