Hazardous industrial solid wastes in the cosmetics industry need proper management to protect people and the environment. The waste is handled by preventing, reducing, reusing, recycling, recovering, and turning it into new products. By improving production processes and following guidelines, waste generation can be reduced. Using paint waste as fuel for boilers or making paving blocks can be economically and environmentally beneficial. Testing shows that paint waste is toxic, but can be safely repurposed.
