Researchers studied how well poultry by-product meal (PBM) can be used in diets for giant freshwater prawns. They found that PBM can replace fish meal protein in prawn diets, with the best growth seen at 75% replacement level. PBM is a good alternative to fish meal protein and works even better as the prawns grow larger.
