Pesticide residues in apples linked to health risks, study finds.
Pesticides are chemicals used in farming to increase crop yields, but they can leave residues on fruits that may harm our health. A study looked at pesticide residues in apples from two locations using a special method called UPLC-TQ/MS. In one location, chlorpyrifos was the most common pesticide found, while in the other, tebuconazole and omethoate were prevalent. These residues can affect our nervous, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems. It's important to monitor pesticide levels in food to ensure safety. More research is needed to understand how pesticides impact fruit production and our health.
