Cross efficiency is a way to compare the efficiency of different decision-making units. A new method called slacks-based measure is proposed to calculate efficiency, which solves problems with weak efficiency and differences in input and output measures. This method also avoids negative efficiency values. In a real case study on selecting the most efficient robot for production, the new method helped identify the top-ranked robot.
