New methods improve water management in grain-producing municipalities in Pará.
The goal of the study was to compare different methods for estimating evapotranspiration in crop-producing areas in Pará, Brazil. The researchers looked at various models and found that the Turc, FAO 24 Blaney-Criddle, and regression methods performed the best overall. After calibration, the Priestley-Taylor, Makkink, and FAO 24 Radiation methods also showed good results. However, the Camargo and Hargreaves-Samani methods were found to be less accurate for estimating evapotranspiration in this region.
