The article discusses changes in criminal procedure laws in 2018, focusing on the excessive amendments made to the Code of Criminal Procedure in Russia. Despite numerous changes, the system does not improve and becomes more repressive. This leads to an increase in flaws, prompting some to suggest a new Criminal Procedure Code. The article argues for a more thoughtful and comprehensive approach to lawmaking, similar to the system in France, to avoid hasty and ineffective changes.
