The goal of the study was to improve how building information is managed during the operation and maintenance phase using Building Information Modelling (BIM). The researchers linked BIM data with facility management work information in a database to make it easier for facility managers to access relevant historical work records. By doing this, facility managers can efficiently search for related work records that involve shared BIM objects, which enhances the accessibility and interoperability of facility management data.
