The Penman-Monteith model was tested in Afghanistan using different climate data. Results showed that using alternative data can lead to differences in estimating evapotranspiration, especially in windy regions. The windy season in the Central region had a significant impact on the model. Alternative solar radiation data was found to be effective in all regions.
