The study looked at how foreign investment affects the environment in emerging countries from 2000 to 2010. They used a method called generalized method of moments to analyze data from 16 countries. The results showed that environmental quality does impact foreign investment. Factors like stock market size, savings rate, and economic freedom also play a role in attracting foreign investment. This means that countries need to consider their environmental policies and financial systems to attract more foreign investment.
