The article looks at how subsidies from the EU's agricultural policy affect the financial performance of farms in Slovakia. The researchers studied different types of agricultural enterprises to see if subsidies impacted their success. They found that there was no clear link between the amount of subsidies received and how well the farms performed. Interestingly, business companies tended to do better overall than agricultural cooperatives in the study.
