Agroforestry adoption boosts income and stability for farmers in India.
The study looked at farmers in Kaushambi district, India, who use agroforestry. They found that most farmers had medium to large families, with experience in agriculture for over 10 years. The farmers' income was above Rs 26,000, and those who adopted agroforestry saw their status improve. The farmers had low to medium risk orientation and medium scientific knowledge. Big farmers had more exposure to media, and group meetings were attended by most farmers.
