Phosphorus fertilization boosts soybean yields and profits in Afghanistan.
A study in Afghanistan looked at how adding phosphorus fertilizer to soybean crops affects yield and costs. They tested different amounts of phosphorus and found that using 75 kg P2O5/ha led to the highest seed yield and profits. The more phosphorus used, the higher the cost of cultivation. Overall, adding phosphorus improved crop efficiency and nodulation, resulting in better yields and profits for soybean farmers in Kandahar.
