Garlic growth and bulb yield were studied in Eastern Ethiopia using vermicompost and mineral nitrogen fertilizers. Different amounts of vermicompost and nitrogen were applied to the soil, and the results showed that the best combination for high yields was 7.5 tons of vermicompost per hectare and 130 kilograms of nitrogen per hectare. This combination led to earlier maturity, taller plants, heavier cloves, and higher marketable bulb yields compared to using no fertilizers. The study concluded that using both vermicompost and nitrogen fertilizer together can optimize garlic production in the area.
