Soybean Planting Dates Boost Yields and Nutrition for Sudanese Farmers
In this research, scientists investigated how different planting dates and sowing methods influence soybean yield and quality. They planted soybeans on various dates and using different methods to see how it affected things like plant height, pods per plant, seed weight, and protein content. The results showed that planting soybeans on July 1st gave the highest yield, 100-seed weight, and grain protein. Early planting on June 15th also increased protein content. Interestingly, the sowing method didn't change most yield factors except for straw yield. The researchers found that planting date and sowing method combined influenced the oil content of the soybeans. This study sheds light on how planting times and methods can impact soybean growth and quality, providing valuable insights for improving soybean cultivation practices.
