Farmyard manure combined with nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers can significantly increase barley yield in southwestern Ethiopia. The study found that using a specific barley variety called 'GABULA' along with 5 tons of farmyard manure and 75% of the recommended inorganic fertilizers led to the highest grain yield and nutrient uptake. This approach resulted in more productive tillers, higher grain yield, and increased nutrient uptake by the plants. Overall, the combination of 'GABULA' variety with the right fertilizers can help farmers improve their barley production in the region.
