The article tested how well West African countries could share a single monetary policy. They used two rules to see if the countries could easily integrate their money systems. The results showed that Nigeria will likely have a big influence on the shared policy. Overall, the tests suggested that Nigeria will find it easy to join the shared money system and that the single policy will work well for its stability.
