Hybrid vehicles could slash urban pollution and fuel consumption
This research focuses on how new advanced vehicles can help cut down on fossil fuel use in urban areas. The study looked at different types of advanced vehicles used in a city in Indonesia. They compared hybrid vehicles that either mainly use an electric motor or use both electric and combustion engines together. The findings show that the type of hybrid vehicle and the size of the combustion engine influence how much fuel they need. Specifically, the series type of hybrid vehicle uses more fuel than the parallel type. By using advanced vehicles more in cities, we could reduce our reliance on non-renewable fuels, which can help the environment.
