High school students' Internet addiction reduced through awareness of actual usage.
High school students in Japan spend a lot of time on the Internet, but they don't often compare their usage with others. To help prevent Internet addiction, students were asked to analyze their own Internet habits. This helped them become more aware of their Internet use and potentially avoid addiction. The study suggests that by increasing awareness of Internet usage, high school students can learn to manage their online time better and reduce the risk of addiction.
