Vegetation in Three Gorges Reservoir Area Declining Due to Changing Climate.
Vegetation in the water level fluctuating zone of Three Gorges reservoir area was studied using satellite imagery from 2015 to 2018. The researchers found that vegetation coverage in the area did not consistently increase over the years, but was influenced by the hydrology and meteorology of each year. They identified two types of vegetation recovery in the area: one stable over time and space, and another more vulnerable to environmental factors.
