Regional Development Agencies in Turkey are used to help develop different regions based on their population and economic status. This paper discusses the history of regional development in Turkey and criticizes the agencies and policies involved. There have been two phases of regional development in Turkey, with changes in policies affecting the outcomes. The benefits of these agencies are examined for various regions in Turkey, along with how they relate to the EU's regional policies. The structure, efficiency, and funding of these agencies are important factors in their success.
