India's Health Expenditure Linked to Economic Development and Environmental Impact
The article explores what factors influence India's health spending from 1990 to 2017. It uses different statistical methods to analyze the relationships between health expenditure, GDP per capita, human development, CO2 emissions, energy use, life expectancy, and education spending. The study finds that health spending in India is influenced by GDP per capita, life expectancy, and education spending in the long run, while in the short run, it is affected by human development, life expectancy, and education spending. The analysis also shows that health spending responds positively to changes in GDP per capita and life expectancy, but negatively to changes in human development and education spending.
