Households in Czech Republic show low responsiveness to rising water prices.
This paper looks at how people in the Czech Republic used water in their homes from 1993 to 2016. They found that when the price of water went up and people got richer, households didn't change how much water they used very much. Even when the price of water tripled, families only used a little less water. This shows that people in the Czech Republic are not very sensitive to changes in the price of water or their income when it comes to using water at home.
