New solar technology maximizes power output for standalone systems.
The article compares two methods for tracking the maximum power point in solar panels. These methods, Perturb and Observe (P&O) and Incremental Conductance (InCond), are commonly used because they work well when sunlight changes quickly. The researchers simulated these methods using MATLAB/Simulink and found that both techniques effectively adjust the voltage, current, and power of the solar panels in response to changes in sunlight and temperature.
