The article explores how stress from temperature changes and soil drought affects the amino acid composition in winter wheat. The researchers studied how climate change impacts plant productivity by looking at how temperature and moisture levels influence plant growth and metabolism. They found that plants adapt to stress by using different strategies, such as changing their structure and function, regulating their respiratory system, and accumulating certain substances to protect themselves. The decrease in rainfall in Ukraine has led to plants facing more challenges in maintaining their water balance, which can result in oxidative stress. Overall, the study shows that plants have complex mechanisms to cope with environmental stressors like temperature fluctuations and drought.
