Water stress hurts rice growth and yield, especially during the booting stage. To help, researchers tested growth enhancers on rice plants under water stress. They found that spermine was the most effective enhancer, improving grain filling by enhancing photosynthesis and assimilate partitioning. Spermine application with double spray worked best, increasing rice yield in different locations and climates.
