New study reveals key traits for boosting finger millet yield!
The study looked at different traits in finger millet plants to see which ones were linked to higher grain yield. They grew 13 different genotypes of finger millet and found that traits like plant height, number of tillers, and harvest index were positively correlated with grain yield. They also discovered that harvest index had the biggest impact on grain yield, followed by straw yield and number of fingers per ear. Overall, these findings help us understand which characteristics are important for increasing grain yield in finger millet plants.
