Foreign exchange reserves are crucial for a country's economy. This study analyzed trends in Indonesia's reserves from 2004-2016. The researchers looked at changes in total reserves, gold reserves, and their share of total reserves. They also examined foreign currency reserves and balance of payments to see which components increased during this period. The study found that Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves increased significantly from 2004 to 2016, with factors contributing to this growth.
