Boosting Potassium Levels Leads to Record Maize Yields and Profits
The study looked at how different levels of potassium affected the yield and economics of Kharif maize. They tested nine treatments with varying amounts of potassium, including some with added organic fertilizer. The number of grains per cob was highest in the treatment with both potassium and organic fertilizer. The treatment with the most potassium and organic fertilizer also had the highest grain, stover, and stone yields. Overall, this treatment showed the highest gross returns, net returns, and benefit-cost ratio.
